The summit of Glacier Peak... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
The summit of Glacier Peak...
The summit of Glacier Peak from the Cool Glacier on Sept. 25, 2005. The route goes left to the saddle at far left of the picture. Most of the glacier through here is benign but there are crevasses to watch out for. They lurk like crocodiles in Australia. And these crocs don't care one bit about your eudaemonistic pastime of climbing mountains.

Australia had alligators. This
looks like a GREAT one, after you
can get over or around Disappointment.
Love all your photos, Klenke.

Even the ones of Bare Mountain.

Australia has crocodiles. To say alligators is a bit of an error, since alligators are a genus of crocodile, not the other way around. So I will change the caption. Thanks for your (intended?) comment regarding this.
