The west side of Kololo Peaks with the receding White Chuck Glacier at right. It used to be so much bigger than this according to maps. See the lake at bottom left? The map shows glacier there. I suppose it is possible the dirt slope between the glacier and the lake is actually concealing a glacier underneath. The west route goes up the left (north) side of the glacier. Sept. 24, 2005.
