2-October-2005: Royce-Feather...
2-October-2005: Royce-Feather col. The top was mostly neve, or neve on top of ice. The bottom was pretty much fresh snow. We rapped down from a slung rock horn anchor on the climber's right, maybe 100' below the col proper to the ice patch. There we made a v-thread and rapped down to where it was just snow. (60m double rope raps) For scale, the raps were about a quarter of the way down; beyond there it was just descending on fresh snow. It's probably all low enough angle to downclimb if you have the nerve and still have the juice left. note: Start early ! The descent takes time.
