Attempted Green Butte last winter, but bailed out before reaching Sargent's. Long, non-technical slog with a lot of rock and very little snow, at least when I was there. It was slow and painful. Hasn't voted | Thanks. Winds were about 50mph on the summit, and it sounded like a freight train at night, but it wasn't too bad while we were climbing. There are so many stories about people having to turn around because of the wind/weather. We lucked out. | | Posted Oct 15, 2005 3:47 pm |
