Looking down at the belay atop the first (main) pitch of the standard (Olvesky) route, October 2003. Note the incredibly short approach. Also note the rope groves due to people rapelling from the top, rather than the lower belay.

are you sure about the spelling? I double checked the Bjornstad guidebooks & couple other places and they all have it spelled as OlEVsky and not OlVEsky. | | Posted Apr 25, 2007 12:07 am |

Hasn't voted | There isn't much love between Eric and Ron and the improper spelling was a personal
deal. Go here and you will find "Official" Documentation with the proper
spelling....

It is a common mistake, but trust me, "RO" isn't too keen on it! ;)
