The east summit ("Thimble")...
The east summit ("Thimble") on approach from the west summit. You can stay high to save elevation but you have to cross a Class 3 "face" with exposure. Or you can descend a hundred feet and fight with the talus and scree. You basically want to aim for the gully leading up to the southeast side of the summit block (the thimble). October 23, 2005.
