The black clouds are 'thunderstorm cells' (I am not sure of the correct meteorological term though). The Tibetan High Plateau is a great place for interesting weather phenomena.



The black dots are Kiang, Tibetan wild ass.

Thanks for the link - you seem to dig up the same websites as I do. I came across that ungulate database when looking up info about Kiang, Chiru, etc some time ago.
