East face of Mountaineer peak from Lost Lake. Photo shows: A.) lower rock slab section leading to low, flat rock and taller rock pillar in front of and to the right of the massif (see east face route description). Scramble to the climber's-left edge of the low, flat rock.
B.) the Mountaineer Lake basin and lower boulder/snow fields of the massif can NOT be seen, but this photo does show the climber's-right edge of the face, the terraced upper cliffs, the diagonol couloir, and the summit ridge
