Great shot. Also, I'm glad to know where this is. I've always wondered where "Frozen Lake and Cliffs" was taken; I knew it was up there near the peak somewhere. Maybe I'll make a sort of pilgrimmage to it next year.

Ansel Adams made this spot famous, Vern Clevenger contributed his handy work as well. The wall reflected in the water rises up to the summit of Eagle Scout and the lake is right off the High Sierra Trail just below Kaweah Gap. It's a very impressive place, enjoy if you go out there. Thanks...

The colors were stunning, especially with a little altitude buzz.

A very proper photo for presentation in the album! A natural colour, a light blue, of water is visible in the foreground.
Cheers!

Good eye to capture the essential primary aesthetic attraction of this lake. I've seen both Ansel and Vern's version. I passed by this lake a couple times but to get the best light there probably takes some base camping. What camera and or film?

So much of photograph seems to be about timing. I passed this spot twice on that day, the second time it was cloudy and the color was flat. I used a Fuji FinePix 5MP digital camera with no filters or image manipulation.
