Sveto Brdo from Liburnija [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
 Sveto Brdo from Liburnija
~ Velebit / South Velebit / Paklenica area / Libunija ~

Before the days and on summit of Liburnija (1710m), looking towards SE. Sveto Brdo (1751m) (Holy Mountain) radiates with beauty, as usual. Deep below it, on the right, is Vlaski Grad pass (1260m) with the refuge (tiny white dot). Behind the pass is grassy Debelo Brdo (1441m). In the background, far behind are 3 Dalmatian mountains: Svilaja (1506m) (100km away), Promina (1146m) (70km away) and Mosor (1339m) (130km away).

Thanks Gusina! Yes, it was one of those spectacular evenings on Velebit. Even Biokovo was visible (170km away), but cannon be visible on such a small photo. Well if you look closer there is something whiter just above the Promina summit. That is Biokovo! Corno Grande, highest peak of Apennines and Italian boot, was visible too (270km away)! Majella group further south was also visible and it is almost 300km away!!! But I've seen even more amazing situations. Take a look at these two shots if you haven't already: Italy from Velebit 1 & Italy from Velebit 2.
