this is a great shot! It shows the upper 1.5 pitches of The Cave Route on the North Ear and much (I think?) of the standard route up the South Ear!!

Hasn't voted | Thanks Radek! We actually did see a couple of climbers on the South Ear when we were there -- they're hidden in the shadow far lower right. Looks like a pretty intense climb! | | Posted Nov 17, 2005 4:56 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Cool - would be great if the climbers were visible but still a great shot. As for the routes, standard route up S. Ear is an .8 --- a pretty sketchy (runout) .8 from what we saw/read (did not do that yet). Easiest line up N. Ear (Cave Rt.) is a .10- but the 2 crux pitches have good-looking gear on them (almost all fixed - bolts/pins). Final pitch is runout but pretty trivial. | | Posted Nov 17, 2005 5:42 pm |
