Nyainqentanglha Feng, the Golmud - Lhasa railway and the village closest to the peak. In this village it's no problem to arrange local transport to the mountain. The alternatives are usually to go with a tractor or yaks. Photo shot from SE.

I think that's one of the aspects I really like with the vast areas of Tibet. It's so empty, but still there are huge peaks breaking the monotony and that makes them even more beautiful.

When you sometimes only see a village a week, that also makes a strong impression.
