A view north from a point in the ridge south of Chair Peak. We got to this point via lake melakwa, just follow the tallus slopes at the south end of the lake to a saddle at the base of Bryant Peak, then head north on the ridge as far as you feel comfortable. We got here with no gear and with two less experienced hikers. The ridge behind us is not the actual summit of Chair Peak, but the ridge below it.
