Are there many goats in this area?

Thanks! There are many more goats in the Cascades now than there were a decade or two ago. Goats were "planted" in the Olympics where they didn't belong, but they thrived there and were tearing the place up. They had been heavily hunted in the Cascades before hunting them was banned, so they decided to transplant many goats from the Olympics to the Cascades some years ago -- don't know exactly when. So now there are lots of goats in the Cascades. This photo was shot in 1988, which I believe predates the big transplantation project. -Bob
