AbramMcCaleb Question.

Voted 8/10

I really respect the contributions your pictures are to the site. Is this pic of McCaleb from a December climb as the post date shows? I am looking for a good winter climb with a smaller approach. I haven't climbed in the lost rivers in December and I am not familiar with the snow levels. Any first hand info would be great.

Thanks for checking out my stuff.

Yes- This climb was from late December 2005. McCaleb sits in the southern portion of the range and may be accessible most years. The actual snow amount will vary, but will most always accumulate beginning in late December on. Bottom line: you should be able to make a day climb attempt on McCaleb. You may or may not need snowshoes and Ice-ax.
