Mt. Langley, my first 14'er
This is Mt. Langley from the Cottonwood Lakes Basin. My friend Cris and I climbed Langley the next day, August 26, 2005. It was my first 14'er!

Cool picture! Congratulations on your first 14'er! Mt. Langley is actually on my list of 14'ers to climb this summer.

Thanks :) Langley wasn't too tough to climb, but I didn't do it all in one day. I took 5 days and spent one in the Cottonwood Lakes Basin, climbed Langley on the 2nd and spent the night at Upper Soldier Lake, then went up into Miter Basin for the 3rd day, then came back via New Army Pass and spent the 4th night at High Lake, then hiked out to the trailhead on the 5th day. 5 days in the beautiful backcountry of Sequoia National Park and the Golden Trout Wilderness... with the highlight being Mt. Langley... it just doesn't get any better than that!

"I am in love with this world. I have nestled lovingly in it. I have climbed its mountains, roamed its forests, sailed its waters, crossed its deserts, felt the sting of its frosts, the oppression of its heats, the drench of its rains, the fury of its winds, and always have beauty and joy waited upon my goings and comings."   --John Burroughs
