Cycling home after summiting, skiing and surveying (DGPS) Cerro Pissis, establishing 6793 m +/-5m (caused by EGM-96 geoid uncertainties - a more accurate elevation will be announced once the EGM06 is out) as new elevation;
From this point it is about 2 days to reach base camp (cycling), or 2 days to get back to Fiambala

Voted 10/10 | The skis looks slightly out of place in this very dry environment

Hasn't voted | Hm, yes. But it was a dream of mine for a long time to cycle to that peak and ski it. The glacier yielded 1300 m vertical of skiing!
The rest of the two weeks of the trip I carried my skis though. But it was worth it - imagine skiing in the desert, having fullfilled yourself a dream, with the sun slowly going down and that view!
Cheers!
