Looking back at the North...

Looking back at the North summit from the 2nd half of the traverse. You can see climbers contemplating their next cruxy downclimb. The section in the view is probably the most exposed and awkward stretch of the entire route - July 23, 2005

Nat Geo Adventure

Misha,

This appears to be the photo from page 112 of May 2006's National Geographic Adventure. I didn't think that there were many climbing Misha's in the world, so when I saw the name, I went looking on SP. Congratulations on getting your photo into such a large publication.

Re: oh no.........

Congrats, Misha! BTW, did Craig mention that he saw his (current) climbing shoes and a bunch of other equipment that he uses on a regular basis... in a climbing museum in New Paltz?! ;^)

Excellent...

It's obvious why NG would publish your photograph - because it's excellent! The lighting, color and content are unmistakenly superb. Congrats Misha.
