Mount Hood's fearsome north face is a jagged counterpoint to

the gentle south side view from Timberline Lodge that most

visitors see. From left, the Eliot, Langille, Coe and Ladd

glaciers carve into the mountain's north slope as seen in this

view from the rim of Coe Canyon.
