One of the arroyos to cross on the way to Rattlesnake Canyon (March 31, 2002). For a better sense of scale, note the hiker in the blue shirt on the left. If it weren't for the fairly well marked trail, it would have been a real test of my route finding skills to find my way up the other side. The opposite arroyo wall was nearly vertical where we were supposed to climb out. |
