Theron Welch ("oznid") just above the crux of the West Face of Sloan Peak. 20 meters of moderate climbing led to a vertical corner/chimney with a short overhang. A #3 Camelot protected a steep move to escape the chimney and viola, you've reached easier terrain. Several more fun pitches remain above.



Due to the large and somewhat confusing nature of this face, I think it would be really cool to know if a reader found this spot again. Please let me know!



I really like the lush alpine garden below. We approached from Bedal Creek which you can see on the right.

Thanks Anne. I just finished the West Face route page. You'd definitely have that route to yourself most days...
