On your way to Taullipampa, a short walk away north from the main trail of the Quebrada de Santa Cruz allows for ample views of the whole valley. From this spot you can also see the south face of Alpamayo (to my right, not on the picture) and a small path takes hikers to Taullipampa in about one hour.
