Photo by Aaron Johnson - In this photo Ellingwood Point is on the right, Blanca on the left. The shawdowed diamond just down from Blanca's summit toward Ellingwood is a workable descent. Although steep and very loose it is manageble. This descent demands one rappel off of a slinged rock into the gulley after downclimbing about 300'. The gulley is snow/ice packed making axe/crampons essential. If Ellingwood is climbed from this side the route ascends its' far right flank gaining the low point on the ridge and following the ridge to the top, then on over to Blanca and then down Blanca as described. - Nice Photo!
