Imogene Pass, the highest in the San Juan, crosses the ridge crest of the Ouray Group. The old Post Office still stands atop the pass in the foreground. This view is looking northwest to the Sneffels Range. Mount Sneffels, one of Colorado's great 14ers, is the pointed mountain. Imogene Pass grants access to the Sneffels and Ouray ranges in Colorado's San Juan Mountains. This is a challenging jeep road not for the faint of heart. Experienced 4WD operators are recommended.
