Looking south from the high point of the Treasure Mountain loop road above Animas Forks, we see Dome Mountain and well beyond into the Silverton group of mountains in the San Juan range. This road accesses the Ouray and Silverton group peaks and poses no serious 4WD challenge in ideal conditions.
