cp0915Canadian Rockies ice

Voted 8/10

I've never had a chance to climb ice up there, but I hear it's top-notch!

well Courtney, our winter has its pros and cons....great for ice forming up, but yesterday I got my nose frostbit just trying to ski Mount Hector. After busting out 3000' on skins in 2 hours (even taking the time to cross some waterfall ice), our athletic endeavor was cut short by zero visibility on the glacier. Still feeling the sting of defeat. Cheers.

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
