Incredible looking pillar - the tree and the "window" really make it pretty unique.

Well, the tree is far from unique - these guys sprout from any crack if you let them. And given the fact that this is a nature preserve where you are not supposed to hurt those critters there will be rather more than less in the future. The fun is that there are actual rules how to use trees for climbing/belaying/rapelling - wide slings are required - but I'm not sure how that would translate into English...

ooops - forgot that piece of info - there s one "route" onto the spire which is a jump from the neighbouring rock. You land on the shoulder above the window...
