Trough couloir at 12,800' [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Trough couloir at 12,800'
A super-wide-angle panorama from about 12,800' in the Trough Couloir. McHenrys Peak is prominent on the opposite side of Glacier Gorge. Black Lake lies in the prominent depression at center at 10,600' while the broad shelf above lies at about 11,000'. Slope in this photo is moderate (35 degrees?) and snow conditions were perfect for kicking steps. February 25, 2006.
