Cohab Canyon [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Cohab Canyon
Various combinations of hikes involve this short draw, coined "the invisible canyon" because it is actually a canyon that cuts through the top of a mesa and is not readily visible from lower elevations. Loaded with erosion anomalies, potholes and arches, Cohab Canyon is an easy must-do hike when visiting Capitol Reef National Park. Several other short and long hikes depart from this canyon as well. The opportunities for adventure and discovery are endless.

Cohab Cnyon reportedly served as a hide-out for early Mormon settlers who were practicing polygamists eluding law officers that would occasionally pass through the region.
