Navajo Tower [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Navajo Tower
This Navajo Sandstone tower is one of many likely unclimbed pinnacles located along the top of the Reef in Capitol Reef National Park. This view is off of the Frying Pan Trail, which courses through the complicated and isolated terrain atop the Reef. Stepping off of this trail invites discovery and adventure, but one could easily become disoriented. A GPS is recommended for any off-trail activities in Capitol Reef, for this is some of the most tortured and complex landscape you will ever encounter. Fall, 2005.
