Hickman Bridge [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ]
Hickman Bridge
Hickman Bridge is not an arch, but a bridge. A natural bridge is formed by water running beneath it, whereas arches are formed by erosion forces such as leeching water, trickling water, ice and wind. The Hickman Bridge is obviously huge (note Ellen at the bottom of the picture in white) and is one of Capitol Reef's premiere attractions, easily reached on a 2 mile round trip hike. This type of spectacle is business as usual at Capitol Reef! Fall, 2002.
