Cassidy Arch Trail [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Cassidy Arch Trail
Cassidy Arch (the black hole) is seen from the dramatic Cassidy Arch Trail in Capitol Reef Nation Park. This trail runs along wide but exposed ledges and features stunning scenery all the way to the arch, a 6 mile round trip. Below and left is the mouth of the Capitol Gorge, one of many mysterious canyons that course their way through the mighty Capitol Reef formation. Famed outlaw Butch Cassidy supposedly hid out in Capitol Gorge. Fall, 2002.
