I you are right. I thought that Powell protruded over Corner Peak when seen from the trail but staring at a topo map I believe I was mistaken. Have you been up Corner Peak? The view from here: http://www.summitpost.org/view_object.php?object_id=38183
helped with my confusion but they don't match so much.
