Lake Mountain as seen from the NNW atop the Lake-Monument escarpment on August 24, 2001. Clearly visible here is the outstanding North Face. Could there be a good rock climb on this face? Also visible is a good example of what to expect for the steep north side of the Lake-Monument escarpment (cliff to right of snowpatch). The ridge extending down to the left is the East Ridge.
