The black summit cone of Engineer Mountain is in the center of this picture. The pass is to the right of the cone. The ridge can be followed for a short climb to the top. This is the Lake City side, looking southwest across American Flats from the slopes of Wetterhorn Peak. The route to Wildhorse Peak crosses American Flats to the left beneath the white mountain.
