The ramp that starts Section...
The ramp that starts Section 4 of the West Shoulder Route. Note the rust-colored snag. If you don't find this ramp, your chances of continuing on the climb go downhill (literally and figuratively). The ramp is located at the base of the East Buttress of Mt. Berge, at the first significant break in the wall. Below the break, the buttress turns slabby for about 100 feet of vertical. Do not descend down there. Photo taken August 18, 2002.
