Being a "foreigner" I didn't know that Sacagawea had a mountain named after her. But I'm pleased that it is so.

My friend Joyce (from Oregon) tells me there is also considerable difference in the pronunciation of her name. The way I heard it originally , the emphasis was on the 2nd syllable (ca), and a hard "g" but Joyce pronounces it with the emphasis on the second last syllable (we)and a soft "G" (like "j"). Didn't they mint a Sacagawea dollar coin?

They did mint a coin, the only dollar coin in the US. I have also heard the different pronuciations. For example, my family in ND, says "Sa-cock-a-wea" whereas I have heard, and say "Sac-a-ja-wea". Im not sure which is actually correct, but you hear the latter more often.
