The Sag Branch Poplar.
At last! The Sag Branch Poplar! After four trips into the Boogerman Grove in the Cataloochee area of the GSMNP, I finally located the world's champion tulip poplar. Yes, there are poplars with a larger girth, but none so tall and none with a higher volume.
