| An obligatory shot down towards Painter Spring | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
There is an older similar shot at SP already, but it was kind of out of focus, so I think there is room for a sharper one. Besides a bit of snow makes it even more stark.

Nice Shot!
Painter Spring is actually not visible from here it lies 3.5 miles northwest from where this shot was taken, in a separate drainage, seen here. (Top Left). I'm not sure of the offical/unoffical name of this canyon though. | | Posted Jul 29, 2006 6:25 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks for the clarification. Actually on a topo both canyons connect right where they emerge into the foothills - isn't the spring near the end of the vehicle track there? | | Posted Aug 18, 2006 7:49 pm |

Voted 10/10 | I've visited the area, and the two streams shown on the topo do exist, maybe they're both part of "Painter Spring". The road to Painter Spring, off of Tule Valley Road, splits and one road goes to each canyon/stream. Each of the streams is not to far from the road split. I really enjoy that area, I last visited on 6/25/05, 50+ MPH winds made camping there interesting, ate some good dirt :-) | | Posted Aug 21, 2006 4:42 am |
