Voted 10/10 | I drove down to Anaconda probably 5-10 times when living in Montana in the summer of 2001. This view is on Hwy 1, right? There is one point where you have an incredible view of the mountains standing high above the road. Just astounding. If this is the view I am thinking of, then this was the view that inspired me to pursue mountain climbing as a lifelong passion. Hasn't voted | Hey guys - the photo was taken on the Warm Springs road, just as you pass the State Hospital and are heading toward Anaconda. bthere - you called it. Along with the lime pile. Did not know what those were until now.

My new job allows me to get out West. I was in Utah in March. I am heading out to New Mexico and Arizona in two weeks. I am probably heading to Idaho in June or July. I will probably be in the Idaho Falls area. I may need a hiking partner to do Borah. I will probably struggle up there, but I really want to do it.
