Looking down on the Glacier du Milieu on our descent, through the top snowfield. Perfect conditions on a perfect day. We took the normal route for the descent. The route (descent) continues along the snowfields to the bergschrund, onto the Glacier du Milieu (middle of photo). The route then goes right, to avoid the crevassed area, just visible where the Glacier du Milieu turns right. Way below, about 1000m, is the Glacier d'Argentière. Mid july 2005.
