I'm certain that this is Arrastra Gulch, looking south from San Juan county road 110. This is the approach to Silver Lake, a ghost town at 12,186 feet. From there, one turns left to climb steep tundra slopes to the summit of Little Giant. The north ridge of Little Giant is seen here on the left. The west face is comprised of steep cliffs that erode amazingly fast. Rockfall onto the Silver Lake trail is nearly constant, so be alert! Round Mountain is on the right.
