 Yosemite Falls in winter. At...
Yosemite Falls in winter. At night, the spray freezes to the wall, then falls in the morning as the sun warms the rock. An immense ice cone builds up at the bottom upper falls that was first explored by John Muir. Visits to the ice cone are somewhat dangerous and highly discouraged by the NPS. But much fun, too. I used to sit in the meadow below the falls and watch the ice peel off the wall, very cool. Check out Ribbon Falls in the winter some time.
