Mount Evans [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Mount Evans
Mount Evans 10641' is the second highest peak in the Anaconda-Pintler Range. This view is of the long SE ridge and broad east face just as you get onto Dry Creek Road.

The road system can be tough to decipher for an approach from this side. Don't expect to find much for road signs.

Wild Montana by Bill Cunningham describes a north side approach and climb via Trail 44 and Lake of the Isle. This route leads to a saddle 1 mile NE of Evans which puts you within reach of a summit effort.

Thanks for adding this shot of the range. How come nobody has voted on this page since it has been up for so long?
