Looking across the valley to the eastern peaks of Nelson Lakes National Park on the South Island of New Zealand. This view is from the start of the Robert Ridge route to Angelus Hut, before the track reaches the summit of Mt. Robert. Apart from the deciduous trees, I couldn't help but notice the striking similarity in appearance of the Nelson Lakes peaks to our Colorado mountains in the states.
