Rio Puerco Cliffs [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Rio Puerco Cliffs
This picture doesn't have much to do with Cerro Cochino, but is more of a introduction into the other desert landforms in the area. Sixty foot high sandstone cliffs border the arroyos and other dry water channels in the Rio Puerco Valley. Cerro de Chamisa Losa is in the distance on the near side of Chivato Mesa. Bear's Mouth is the rock spire on the northern (right) side of Chivato Mesa.
