Old (new) bridge in Mostar on beautiful river Neretva
Mostar's 16th century Ottoman bridge was destroyed during the 1992-95 aggression on BiH. Rebuilt in 2004.

..they renewed the bridge. I´d like to know if anyone of those fascists has been punished for destroying the old bridge. If one thinks that even during World War II no harm was done to the monument the destruction a few years ago seems even more barbaric. This act reminds me of the primitive Taleban that destroyed the Buddha statues in Afghanistan.

It is v sad to lose the original but in 500 years time the destruction and rebuilding of the bridge will be just another part of its history.
