Gully and Chockstone [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Gully and Chockstone
After I descended over the chockstone and crossed the upper snow gully. The chockstone is in the center of the photo. We climbed over this rather than under or around. Roach's description here did not make sense, probably because of lingering snow. Snow and ice made it actually easier to go over the chockstone. Without the snow and ice to stand on, it would have been very hard. June 24, 2006
