Little Mud Lake laying in Little Riner Basin which was completely burned out by a large forest fire in the late 90's. Mud Lake is not much larger than this lake seen below.

Interestingly, when I faced Mud Lake the only noise I could really hear was the croaking of hundreds of frogs. When I turned around and faced High or Slide Lake from the same point I could hear the sound of rushing water, birds, and the wind.
