Thanks for the votes and comments. I'm real new to SP and lots to learn here.I became addicted to Sierra and desert peak bagging 15 years ago,(hiking and scrambling). As a day hiker the areas I've concentrated on the most are Tioga- Tuolumne, Sonora Pass Ebbetts and Carson Pass and the trail heads out of Owens Valley on the east side. Also lots of peaks in the Death Valley vicinity. These areas offer the most in terms of day climbs. Managed only 12 ascents so far this season but if the weather holds I hope to get up for a few more. Appreciate your enthusiasm for the high country! Later.
